The Ocean Quay site provides the company with a dedicated shipbuilding hall and workshops, together with wet berth facilities for vessels up to 70m - providing easy access for repairs and surveys. The SMS Group aims to provide the marine and construction industries with reliable service, outstanding quality and the highest standards of work.The SMS Group began 2018 with a period of significant expansion, acquiring a dry-dock and marine / machine workshops business in Lowestoft. Coupled with the addition of marine workshops in Poole, Avonmouth, Portsmouth, Devonport and Dover to compliment the existing facilities at Southampton and the dry-dock at Shoreham. The SMS Group thereafter became the largest independent ship repair business in the UK; 7 owned locations providing 24/7/365 support.The SMS family is made up of qualified professionals and highly skilled tradespeople who collaborate on projects large and small.
