Headquartered in the Texas Hill Country near San Antonio, TEXAS REPUBLIC FIREARMS ACADEMY provides self-defense firearm training in the San Antonio / Austin area, plus statewide in Texas and worldwide. Instructors at Texas Republic Firearms Academy (TXRFA) are all seasoned law enforcement professionals with practical “street” experience. Plus, each has passed a stringent screening process to insure that they are well suited to train the general public. In addition to real-world practical firearms experience, TXRFA instructors have superb teaching skills, winsome personalities, and a patient demeanor. Together, these factors create an environment where learning is easy, natural, and conducive to very rapid skill development. "High Impact Self-Reliance" Three levels of instruction ranging from complete novice to skilled law enforcement professional, plus private instruction. But no matter the course level, each firearm training class prepares students for violent situations where instantaneous shoot, don’t-shoot decisions must be made. The curriculum is robust. Each firearms course includes sufficient classroom teaching to establish a firm foundation of firearms knowledge, law and ethics; and includes substantial application in tactical live-fire shooting range scenarios to teach weapon familiarity and instinct shooting. TXRFA is not an ordinary firearms school in that it does not teach target shooting or hunting skills. Rather, it is dedicated exclusively to self-defense, home defense, plus emergency planning and contingency preparedness. Instructors are State certified to teach Texas Concealed Handgun License certification (TX CHL) for Texas residents as well as any U.S. citizen who can pass the screening process.
