In 1968, Salvatore Cumbo established Salvo in a small North London delicatessen. Salvatore worked passionately to bring the best Mediterranean products to London’s Italian eateries. Since then, Salvo has built up a highly respected business supplying major restaurants, hotels and café groups. In 2011, Salvo CFS and Rondanini UK joined forces to create a new joint venture called Salvo 1968 Ltd. Supplying all major restaurants and café groups from their new modern distribution facility in Hertfordshire. Salvo 1968 became the first Italian wholesaler to launch an online shopping platform in 2014. The online platform showcases their entire range of products at the best prices. Salvo 1968 is proud to announce the achievement of EFSIS accreditation, a widely recognised standard for storage and distribution of chilled and ambient foods.
