Rotary District 5130 is the descendant of District 13, founded by Henry J. Brunnier in 1915. As clubs within the original district boundaries grew and multiplied, it was necessary to divide and form smaller districts. As such, District 5130 evolved from #13 (1915-1918) to #23 (1918-1922), to #2 (1922-1937), to #104 (1937-1949), to #155 (1949-1957), to #513 (1957-1991), and finally 5130 (1991 to now). The district includes the six coastal counties of Northern California: Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Mendocino, Napa, and Sonoma and currently is comprised of approximately 2400 members in 47 Rotary Clubs and 6 Rotaract Clubs.
