PRX

PRX is a non-profit public media company specializing in audio journalism and storytelling. We serve independent producers by helping them connect to engaged, supportive audiences. One of the world’s top publishers, PRX works in partnership with TED, PBS, the Smithsonian, Futuro Media, GBH, Religion of Sports, and more. PRX is also home to Radiotopia, known as one of the most creative and successful podcast networks. In addition, we distribute trusted and treasured public radio programming to hundreds of stations nationwide, including “The World,” “The Moth Radio Hour,” “This American Life,” “Snap Judgment,” “Reveal,” “The Takeaway,” and “Latino USA.” We provide a global training program online and workshops at the community-driven PRX Podcast Garage with locations in Boston and San Francisco. Podcasts from mission-aligned partners are created through and with our studio, PRX Productions. Our approach is grounded in the practice of opening closed systems by telling stories that might not otherwise be told, offering a wide variety of program choices. Our imperative is to be bold. Fast Company has awarded PRX as one of the world’s most innovative companies three times—in 2015, 2017, and 2022—for our new approaches to content, talent, and technology. In 2022, Futuro Media and PRX won a Pulitzer Prize. PRX content has also been recognized by the duPont-Columbia Awards, the Peabody Awards, and the IDA Documentary Awards. Our values drive us forward and are instilled in the work of PRX every day: Courage - We believe in risk. Humanity - We believe in respect. Opportunity - We believe in access. Purpose - We believe in a better world. Equity - We believe in diversity. We are also committed to creating an anti-racist organization, one where all employees can be their true authentic selves, are treated fairly and with dignity, and where diverse perspectives and voices are valued and respected.
