Our mission is to support people with disabilities to fulfill their life choices. PROVAIL was founded in 1942 by parents who found a lack of services for their children with disabilities. Throughout our history, we have learned there are key elements that directly impact a person’s ability to live life according to their own choices. These elements are Mobility and Communication, Employment, and Home and Lifestyle. Today we are dedicated to focusing on these areas to meet critical needs and address gaps in services for the disability community. Mobility & Communications: Our Assistive Technology and Therapy Clinic offer innovative mobility and communication tools and technology to support children and adults with disabilities to access their community in a whole new way. Employment Services: We partner with local businesses to create customized positions for employees with disabilities that allow for future growth and career advancement, offer competitive wages and benefits, and promote community presence and inclusion. Home and Lifestyle: PROVAIL's Home and Lifestyle services offer a range of programs to enhance the opportunities for children and adults with disabilities become more active and involved members of their communities. Programs include the Seattle BrainWorks Clubhouse (for survivors of traumatic brain injury) and our Community Living houses.
