Profix, the Montreal based retail service business is announcing the launch of a new type of human resource placement service using the latest mobile app technology. Through over 10 years experience with human resources in the retail sector, founders Craig Robinson and Sean Brown created a way to better track, record and communicate information with workers and clients. The new service will be available this September for any type of temporary employment need under the banner of Profix Solutions. "We realized there was a huge opportunity to incorporate technology into the HR side of the retail sector", Sean Brown said from the company's office in West-End Montreal. "The industry standard for tracking hours for temporary workers in retail causes a long paper trail that is inefficient, allows mistakes and even opens the door to potential fraudulent charges." The company's new method uses a mobile app allowing more, real-time communication between workers, site-managers, and account managers. Profix has been servicing big-box retailers since 1996 in Montreal. The company was a local Montreal provider until 2013 when Profix acquired funding from Accord Financial, and the Business Development Bank of Canada. With their support Profix has been able to offer services to all major centers across Canada. The technology that Profix will be making available will certainly be a jolt to an industry where many of the main Players have been slow to adapt to increased use of technology. "The larger agencies have been slow to adapt to the changing times", said Brown. "We believe that through our experience, and the digital aspect of our service we can offer solutions that will be useful and efficient across many industries."
