Punjab Renewable Energy Systems Private Limited (PRESPL) is a Pioneering Lead in the Biomass-based Bio-Energy Sector in India with Lt Col Monish Ahuja (Retd) being the bedrock of this Entrepreneural Endeavour which began in 2011. Currently, on our Team, we have approximately 150 persons on direct payroll and more than 2000 people are also connected in direct business through a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) Model; a Rural-Economy Biased Model, especially conceived, designed and practiced by PRESPL and now propagated to all connected to us and other concerned agencies in the Bio-Energy Sector. Our efforts are focused on Biomass-based Bio-Energy Sector and we bring in all elements of Sustainable Development Goals through our projects; including financial inclusion, double-income for farmers, negate carbon emissions, rural development and bringing in better environment with reduced use of fossil fuels etc. We are a Board-Governed Corporate Entity with global equity investors / shareholders, namely; responsAbility (rA), Zurich {Director Mr Akshay Dua), SBI NEEV Fund (State Bank of India, SBI Caps, SIDBI & DFID UK) {Director Mr Akshay Panth} and Shell {Director being Nominated} with Directors Mr R Sudhakar Rao and Mr Nandan Agrawal. PRESPL has five business verticals as follows: - (a) Biomass Supply. (b) Biomass Briquettes with forays being made towards Pelleting. (c) Steam at Cost (O&M Service for clients).
