As of December 1, 2016, Post Properties, known as one of the largest developers and operators of upscale multifamily communities in the U.S., was welcomed into MAA (Mid-America Apartment Communities). This combination created the largest multifamily REIT with a total market capitalization of approximately $15 billion. Under the MAA name, this newly merged company offers enhanced capabilities, efficiencies, technology platforms and geographical footprint to deliver superior service and value for associates, residents, and shareholders.
