PopSockets

PopSockets LLC is a Colorado-based company founded in 2010 by former philosophy professor David Barnett. Barnett was looking for a way to prevent his earbud cord from getting tangled, and he glued two buttons to the back of hisphone and wrapped them around the buttons. In 2014, PopSockets was launched out of his garage in Boulder, Colorado and today has offices in Boulder, San Francisco, Hong Kong and Helsinki. More than 150 million PopSockets grips have been sold around the globe. PopSockets exists to change the world for the better with innovative, magical products and community empowered activism. In the fall of 2018, PopSockets premiered the Poptivism program—a charitable giving platform wherecustomers create their own PopGrip designs and PopSockets donates 50% of the sale price to the customer’s 501c3 nonprofit organization of choice. Poptivism is available to everyone online, and for schools as a creativity-based academic curriculum for youth. The brand has donated $3 million dollars in cash and product to more than 300 nonprofit partners.In 2020, PopSockets was named the Best Company (of our size) to Work for in Colorado by ICC and ColoradoBiz Magazine, after being a runner up in 2019. We were also named on Built In Colorado’s list of Best Midsize Places to work in 2020. We were Inc. 5000's second fastest growing company in the US for 2018, with a 71,424% percent of sales increase over the previous three years.
