Our staff We acknowledge that a care home is only as good as the staff that work there and we take great pride in our extensive training programmes. Not only are our staff trained according to the requirements of the CQC, but individual training programmes are developed to ensure our staff feel confident and fulfilled in their roles as well as gaining the necessary knowledge and skills. A compliment of fully trained staff contribute to the very positive atmosphere within the Homes. Activities We encourage residents to take full advantage of the many activities we offer. We have a designated Activity Organiser, who co-ordinates arts and crafts activities, life skills and games within the Home. The Homes are also actively involved in organising activities within the community, holidays and entertainment. Furthermore, to ensure that residents benefit from the surroundings, frequent expeditions are planned in and around surrounding towns, seaside as well as shopping centres and theatres. Phoenix Care Charter Residential care should strive beyond simply addressing the basic needs, such as accommodation, food and personal care. We ensure that the rights of residents are always at the forefront of our care. Residents are entitled to dignity, individuality, cultural diversity, self-esteem and choice thus we make sure that we protect these at all times irrespective of disability or dependence.
