OSY S.A. (Road Transport S.A.)

OSY S.A. is the distinctive title of the company called “Road Transport S.A.”, that provides urban transportation services with thermal and trolley buses in the Prefecture of Attica - Greece. OSY S.A. was formed after the absorption of ILPAP S.A. (trolley buses) by ETHEL SA (thermal buses) in 2011. The company is a Legal Entity of Private Law (L.E.P.L.) operating according to private economy regulations. OSY S.A. operates as an Executive Body Transport Operator (E.B.T.O.) supervised, as an entity, by Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA S.A.) under the general control of the Greek Ministry of Development, Competitiveness, Infrastructure, Transport and Networks. The strategic objective of OSY S.A. is to contribute to an integrated daily urban transportation in the Prefecture of Attica.Its fleet consists of about 2.150 thermal buses with an average age of 10.5 years and about 370 trolley buses with an average age of 10 years. The company also has one of the largest natural gas bus fleets in Europe. OSY S.A. has thirteen (13) depots, spatially dispersed in Attica, covering a total area of about 400 km2.The company’s transportation network is approximately 9.000 km long. It extends across the Attica region and is one of the most extended in Europe. Passengers using OSY S.A. means of transportation have access to around 8.000 different spots (bus and trolley bus stops) in Attica.
