Ocean Kinetics Ltd is a successful, well-regarded and ambitious Lerwick-based engineering company operating throughout the UK. The company was established in 1992 by John Henderson, the company's sole director.

The company operates primarily in Shetland where it has its head office, workshops and stores, and it also has premises and an operational base in Aberdeen. The company has an effective combination of modern workshops, machinery and a highly skilled workforce, with many years of experience.

Ocean Kinetics Ltd have recently invested in their new purpose - a £3 million custom-built 3,600m² facility in Lerwick - offering workshop offices and stores providing 3,500 m2 of new workshop, machine workshop, profiling and forming workshop, fabrication workshop, stores and retail store.

To help meet growing demand from the oil and gas industry, we have also recently invested in:

Hi-tech CNC machinery, including high definition plasma cutting, metal forming, rolling and shearing
Additional highly-skilled staff from ASME IX qualified welders through to CSWIP inspectors and professional engineers
Improved quality management systems, fully accredited to ISO 3834-2 and ISO 9001
