NPower is a national nonprofit organization that seeks to create pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities. We seek to empower under-represented talent to pursue tech futures by teaching the digital and professional skills demanded by the marketplace, and engaging businesses, volunteers and nonprofits in the long term success of our students. Our results speak for themselves:* 80% of NPower students get jobs or continue their education after the program.* 70% of our alumni retain their employment within one year of graduation* Salaries of graduates employed upon starting the program are 52% higher, on averageThe NPower signature training model includes:Tech Fundamentals – A 23-week program consisting of 16 weeks of in-class instruction and professional skill-building followed by a seven-week paid internship. Coursework focuses on basic tech competencies needed for entry level IT employment. Advanced Certifications – They offer multiple paths for advanced IT coursework including Cybersecurity, Coding and Cloud computing designed to prepare NPower alumni for more advanced IT employment. NPower is committed to the success of their students. NPower provides a range of social service support (housing referrals, clothing donations, travel assistance, etc.) to students during their tenure in the program. And their commitment to graduates is focused on job persistence and long-term career growth. Their actively engaged alumni network continue to turn to NPower for ongoing career coaching, mentoring, as well as access to advanced certifications.
