Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Center

Located in Alexandria, Virginia, the Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Center's (NVJDC) mission is to create through example, policy, programs, and environment, a safe and secure setting that advocates good mental and physical health.The center is a secure, pre- and post-disposition institution for adolescents who are being held for the juvenile courts of Northern Virginia. It serves the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church and Arlington County.The center is certified by the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). It is funded by the Commonwealth of Virginia through the DJJ and the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church and Arlington County.
