Mujirushi Ryohin, MUJI in Japanese, translates as “no-brand quality goods”. Originally founded in Japan in 1980, MUJI offers a wide variety of good quality products including household goods, apparel and food. The company’s basic principle is to develop new products at reasonable prices through the careful selection of materials, streamlining manufacturing processes and simplified packaging. While being considerate of environmental issues, MUJI’s natural and functional design complements today’s lifestyles perfectly.MUJI expanded to Canada in 2014, with the opening of Toronto’s Atrium location (Yonge and Dundas), followed by the Square One Shopping Centre location in Mississauga, and the Yorkdale Shopping Centre location which opened in 2016.
