About Montgomery County Parks Department

Montgomery Parks--part of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and a six-time winner of the National Gold Medal for Excellence in Parks--provides residents and visitors with access to more than 38,000 acres of parkland and more than 420 parks. Montgomery Parks is located in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Our park system includes more than 270 miles of trails, lakes and streams, historic sites, event centers, and recreational facilities, including indoor ice rinks and tennis courts, miniature golf, driving range, athletic fields, campgrounds, nature centers, and botanic gardens. Montgomery Parks also offers classes and programs throughout the year.
