Xi’an research institute committed to solving major hydrogeological problems encountered during exploration, construction, production and shutdown period of coal mines in view of complex hydrogeological conditions and requirements of coal mine safety production in China.It has carried out theoretical research, application technology development, and technical consulting services on exploration and evaluation of hydrogeological conditions, water inrush mechanism and prediction, hydrochemical and isotopic methods, calculation of mine water inflow, water drainage water table decrease, coal mining above confined aquifers, and grouting blocking pressure water. A technical system with the core of exploration of comprehensive hydrogeological conditions, detection, prediction, monitoring, control and rescue of water hazards was formed, which has made a significant contribution to the formation and development of China's coal mine hydrogeology theory and the technical system of water hazard prevention and control, and continuously leads the technical progress orientation.
