LVA, an RVi Company

LVA, an RVi Company began in 1981 as G. William Larson Associates. Founded by Arizona State University design professor Bill Larson, the firm was built on the principals of strong relationships – with clients, community members, and municipalities. These relationships formed the foundation for LVA’s growth as the firm welcomed partner/owner Steven Voss, becoming known as Larson Voss Associates in 1992 and later as LVA Urban Design Studio. In 2018, LVA was acquired by RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture, a national firm with a long history of work throughout Arizona and the Southwest. Collectively, RVi and LVA have influenced the design of many of the most familiar places in Arizona – from mixed use communities like Anthem, Victory at Verrado, and McDowell Mountain Ranch, to educational, medical, and business park campuses like Arizona State University, Mayo Hospital & Clinic, and Gore Manufacturing, to specialty planning projects like Marriott Resorts and Estancia. Founded in 1982, RVi is a national design firm widely recognized for its creative contributions in land use analysis, community planning, and design of outdoor spaces. In over three decades of practice, RVi has remained focused on creating beautiful, functional, and enduring spaces that people know and love. With the combined expertise of our team members from across the country, RVi provides planning and landscape architecture services for a diverse range of project types across the United States.
