Our unique history. In Reftele, just outside Anderstorp in the swedish province of Småland, what was to become Ljunghäll was founded in 1917 by blacksmith Edvin Ljungkvist and his wife Hilda. In the beginning it was just a small smithy, doing mostly small ironwork and shoeing horses. A few years later they moved the operation in to Anderstorp and expanded the production to also include sand- and chill casting, thus laying the foundation of what has now become one of the worlds best and most advanced High Pressure Die Casting – Ljunghäll. Pioneering High Pressure Die casting as early as the 1940s, it has become a large part of Ljunghälls company mentality to always stay one step ahead of the curve. During the 1980s Ljunghäll purchased Europe’s first ABB robot, serving as a HPDC machine. Today, Ljunghäll has production in both Södra Vi, Sweden and Caslav, Czech Republic. As one of the industry leaders, we will continue to deliver a state-of-the-art product and be the best business partner we can possibly be.
