LAWRL provides comprehensive fully integrated design and management services including Architecture, MEP and Structural Engineering, Interior Architecture and Design, Master Planning, Programming, and Feasibility Studies. We also provide Energy Modeling, LEED/Sustainable Design and Enhanced Commissioning, Cultural Planning and Innovative Technology Design, including Theatre Technical, Audio-Visual, Lighting, Information Technology, Security and Communications design.

LAWRL was formed by the long-standing professional collaboration and relationship between managing principals Paul E. Westlake, Jr. and Michael B. Lehrer. Their close working association began in their academic work at Harvard Graduate School of Design over thirty years ago. The two collaborated on multiple projects following graduation, and have jointly executed award winning work. LAWRL’s current projects in southern California include the zero net energy, LEED Platinum anticipated, San Angelo Community Center; Potrero Heights Community Center; and most recently the Keck Institute for Space Studies at CalTech.
