La Loma Tamales is owned and operated by Enrique and Noelia Garcia. They are well known for their authentic Mexican tamales, owners Enrique and Noelia Garcia brought a family recipe for tamales to the US from their town in the heartland of Mexico. In addition to their tamales, La Loma offers Mexican and American breakfasts, fresh juices, and smoothies at the Market. The tamales are made from scratch using fresh stone ground whole kernel corn to make the masa (dough). The filling is made from fresh ingredients placed in the center of the masa. The masa and filling are then wrapped in a cornhusk or banana leaf and then steam cooked. The stone ground corn is one of the ingredients that give La Loma Tamales its superior texture and true Mexican flavor. La Loma Tamales also operates a catering business and a large wholesale business, which is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
