Knowledge Oral Health Care is the UK's leading oral health care training business for older adults, complex needs, learning disabilities & supported living. We have been delivering oral care services care homes since 2015 and have reviewed more than 50 care homes across England and identified common recurring practices that result in care homes failing to meet the fundamental standards of mouth care quality. We've drawn on the expertise and guidance of multiple services to help piece together the training content to make it engaging and appropriate for all staff at all levels. Our sessions are aimed at resulting positive change to improve knowledge, skill and confidence in delivering mouth care activities. We provide bespoke training to suit your care home for all staff involved in daily mouthcare. We deliver scenario-based, interactive training that can be directly applied to your working environment simulating on-the-job training without disturbing the daily routines of your care home. Within the programme is clinical governance in accordance with Quality Standard 151and support you in preparation for CQCs Oral Care Policies and Pathways. Our trainers are practising dental care professionals with a wealth of experience of working in care homes. They can provide your staff with tips, advice and skills in oral care and dealing with complex dental cases as well as carrying out oral care for challenging residents.
