Ben Kallos is a Democratic candidate for city council in New York City's 5th District, which covers the Upper East Side and Roosevelt Island. The Democratic primary election will be held on September 10, 2013.
Ben is an activist, lawyer, entrepreneur and former Chief of Staff to a local Assembly Member running to represent the Fifth District where he grew up and still lives. He’s a third-generation Upper East Sider whose grandparents fled anti-Semitism in Russia and Hungary to build a better life in New York City. As a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and SUNYs Albany and Buffalo, he has used his public education for public service in the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government. Ben has a record of results building a better city openly, honestly and transparently.
