The Original Jungle Marathon specialists- voted by CNN as "the world's toughest endurance race" We use our expertise in organising safe and exciting eco-friendly adventure runs in the Amazon Jungle,and the jungles of Vietnam providing a revenue source for the inhabitants of the rain forest, promoting the exquisite beauty of the Jungle. Our events include a 42km marathon, and a 121km or 254km stage foot- race through primary Brazilian Amazon Rainforest and a 200km+ stage race in the Vietnam Jungle. Since its inception in 2003, Jungle Marathon has gained an international reputation as one of the world's most daunting adventure runs, combining the thrill of the sport with the backdrop of this fragile eco-system. Runners encounter natural obstacles along the way and are exposed to the realities of the jungle as they encounter jaguar, wild pigs, snakes and a host of spectacular birds and wildlife. Water crossings full of piranha and caiman increase the excitement. The organisers work with a 100% local team, providing employment to the villagers that live in these jungles , and during the race a team of over 200 people provide the safety required in such a potentially hostile environment.
