About iota Computing
IOTA Computing is developing an ultra-low power processor core aimed at the Internet of Things endpoint market. IOTA Computing has designed a completely new and very compact TCP/IP-based operating system, and an equally tiny custom RISC microprocessor to run it. This integrated ultra-low power combination of processor and software is expressly designed from first principles to enable billions of tiny edge devices to communicate simply over the internet – the first true Internet of Things Architecture. We license the IP Core and software to leading semiconductor, ultra-low power radio and MEMS sensor companies, including our full software development tool chain, for sensor and actuator applications in energy efficiency, intelligent buildings, medical diagnostics, industrial, transportation, consumer and any small smart thing that needs to connect securely to the internet. Angel funded by semiconductor veterans, we are now planning a Series A. The processor core patent is granted, with two more in final office action, first alpha customers are coming aboard, and we plan a formal launch in mid-2013.
