ITDO is the entity in charge of internal trade development, encouraging investments in wholesale and retail sectors, and responsible for the registration for all commercial activities, specifically by doing the following: 1. Set the general policies and plans required to develop the internal trade and related services, in coordination with chambers of commerce and their general union, and follow-up their implementations. 2. Set plans and programs to avail lands necessary for the development of internal trade, in coordination with ministers, local administration units, and identifying bases and criteria for pricing those lands, and ways to offer them to investors in the fields of internal trade. 3. Set policies and plans for developing internal trade markets management, in coordination with commercial of commerce and their general union, and follow-up on its implementation. 4. Measure efficiency of wholesale and retails sales sectors, its competition capacities, and set the necessary plans to leverage those efficiencies and capacities. 5. Set the terms required for shops subject to the provisions of law regulating commercial shops and their locations, which they are licensed to manage, and their employees. 6. Develop and simplify rules and procedures of commercial activities registration. 7. Support efforts and programs of rights protection relative to trademarks, commercial data and demographic indicators, designs, industrial models and commercial names. 8. Establish and continue databases and information relative to trade, goods, markets and local production capacities in internal trade at all stages, and availing this information and data, achieving its integration electronically, in coordination with chambers of commerce and their general union. 9. Study and propose drafts of laws, regulations and resolutions related to internal trade and commercial register.
