i3S is a transdisciplinary institution determined to promote research and innovation in the Health Sciences at the highest international level, while carrying out graduate training and contributing to solve current major societal challenges. Over a thousand people work at i3S, which is organized into three thematic units: Cancer, Host Interaction and Response, and Neurobiology and Neurologic Disorders. At i3S we capitalize the institute’s scientific know-how by translating it into valuable assets for society, thus playing a crucial role in the development of a sustainable and solid regional strategy.
