Guinean Students Association-City College-(GSA-US-CCNY)

The Guinean Students Association aims to support its fellow members in their professional development by organizing workshops where they polish their resume, learn about useful software and some information on the club and the college. Students are coached by their seniors to help them navigate through the college and give them advice on how to perfect the skills they need the most to succeed inside and also in their future employment.The club was founded in 2015 in Baruch College , then it was created at City College in 2017. Today, it is expanding on different CUNY schools. This expansion helped to grow the GSA family and created a network of students that share different types of opportunities among them. Every year, this wide network of students gather during one big conference called the GSA annual conference. This event aims to help students to widen their network by presenting them to their peers from other schools, and also to professionals.As of today, many students from GSA have gotten awesome internships and landed into prestigious programs that helped them advance in their career. This vast network of successful alumni is still willing to support their freshman peers by giving them their insight on how to succeed academically and professionally. We also have fun at GSA, because we know the college life is very stressful , overwhelming and lonely.
