Greenleaf Family Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) social service organization that has served families since 1912. Beginning as the Charity Organization Society of Akron, Ohio by Goodyear founder F. A. Seiberling and Firestone founder Harvey Firestone, the original mission of nearly 100 years ago continues today as Greenleaf Family Center endeavors to strengthen families in our community through counseling, education, and support.
Each year, Greenleaf Family Center serves many area families who face the challenges of daily living and personal crises that arise from a variety of problems, including personal and family issues, mental health, teenage parenting, alcohol and drug addictions, financial instability and school adjustment. Services include: Individual, Family and Group Counseling, Tri-County Employee Assistance Program, Educational Programs, Family Support Programs, Community Services for & of the Deaf, At-Risk Youth, as well as, School-Based Programs.
