Fort McMurray Airport Authority is a community-based, not-for-profit organization that owns and operates Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM). In 2015, YMM served over 1 million passengers to multiple destinations across Canada. Fort McMurray Airport Authority is a dedicated community partner and in 2015 proudly donated more than $850,000 to local organizations. Fort McMurray International Airport’s new terminal opened June 9, 2014, elevating air travel for the Wood Buffalo region to a whole new altitude. The $258-million facility is five times larger than the former terminal, allowing passengers to move more efficiently and enjoy more room and comfort.
