European School Of Brussels IV (Laeken)

The European School of Brussels IV (Laeken) opened in 2007. CELI: The school has recently become an official CELI (Certificate of Italian Language) examination centre. The agreement signed between the EEB IV and the Università per Stranieri di Perugia (University for Foreigners of Perugia) in Italy, aims at encouraging pupils and adults to prepare and take the examination to obtain the Certificate of Italian Language (CELI). Green & Clean School: This project aims at promoting a healthy school environment for the pupils and the school community and to raise awareness about environmental issues. A few initiatives coordinated by the pupils and the teachers have been implemented. Among them: a plant and vegetable garden, and the involvement of the school in the Velomai action. KiVa: This project is developed by the University of Turku in Finland. It aims at preventing and tackling bullying through a wide range of tools and knowledge that can be used by the schools taking part in the program. KiVa was implemented in the Nursery and Primary School in September 2019. The European Schools and the Accredited European Schools are educational institutions set up in the European Union’s Member States. They provide children with a multilingual and multicultural education at nursery, primary and secondary levels. The Schools follow a specific curriculum and offer the European Baccalaureate diploma.
