The desire to grow the business both by the original owners and currently by the existing managing director Peter Elms who joined his father in 1972 and took over the reigns in 1992 has seen formation of Steveweld in 1975, the opening of a branch in Lowestoft in 1989, the purchase of Grainger Welding Supplies in 1991, the amalgamation with the newly formed company Eagle Welding Supplies in 1994, the purchase of Anglian Welding Supplies in 2000 and Brook Alloys in 2012. Today the company has expanded its product portfolio and now can offer the widest range of items likely to be required by a fabricator.
