Durban Chemicals Cluster

Established in December 2008, the primary purpose of the DCC is to drive competitiveness and growth, and to facilitate the transformation of the local chemicals manufacturing industry. The DCC delivers support to the chemicals sector through three core programmes, namely Investment & Growth, Operational Excellence and Skills Development & Transformation. Since its establishment, the operational foundation of DCC has proved to be both robust and effective and this cluster serves as a positive example of the power of collaboration between industry and the public sector.Funding for the DCC is overseen by the Economic Development Unit (EDU) of the eThekwini Municipality and member firms.
