The story of Citizens Commerce began years ago at the First National Bank & Trust Company of Woodford County, where our Board of Directors and management team first met. When that bank was acquired by an out-of-state banking behemoth, our founders decided to create a new bank, one that was truly local. In November of 1996, Woodford County’s own Citizens Commerce National Bank was born. Citizens Commerce continues to be a community bank, and that means more than our size and location. We believe in giving back to the community through sponsorships and volunteer work. Our employees are involved in WEEF Golf, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, and other charitable fundraisers, and our sponsorships support local sports programs, libraries, and recreation centers.
