Dr. Sikand has been practicing medicine for a number of years now. After graduating from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital in Guwahati, India, she took it upon herself to move to the United States and continue her studies. She received her training in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard University. She was recognized for her outstanding achievements at Harvard University by becoming the Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Sikand has been in private practice since 2000. She has been involved with multiple research projects. She specializes in natural childbirth, high-risk patient care, menopause and natural hormone counseling, in office sonograms, surgeries, and gynecology. At her office in downtown Washington, D.C., she has created an atmosphere of loyalty and care that is rarely seen in today’s day and age. Dr. Sikand gives her patients peace of mind through her holistic techniques and all-around care. With a friendly countenance and upbeat mindset, she treats her patients with the utmost respect.
