Camps International is a social enterprise which runs educational and impactful expeditions for school groups.
We own and operate camps in rural areas throughout Africa, Asia and South and Central America. Camps are located where poverty levels are high and/or there are significant environmental and wildlife conservation challenges. Most camps are established on community land and employ local people to build, staff and supply them, with each one acting as the hub from which we run our wide range of sustainable projects and adventure activities for young people from around the globe.

Camps International offers a variety of educational expeditions tailored for school groups, focusing on community development, wildlife conservation, and environmental protection. These expeditions typically include hands-on projects that allow students to engage with local communities, participate in conservation efforts, and gain valuable life skills through experiential learning.
Safety is a top priority at Camps International. The organization conducts thorough risk assessments for all expeditions and employs experienced leaders who are trained in first aid and emergency response. Camps are located in safe, rural areas, and participants are provided with comprehensive safety briefings before and during their trips. Additionally, Camps International maintains a 24/7 support system to address any concerns that may arise.
Camps International's expeditions are designed to create a positive impact on local communities through sustainable development projects. Participants work alongside community members on initiatives such as building schools, improving healthcare facilities, and implementing environmental conservation programs. This collaboration not only benefits the communities but also fosters cultural exchange and understanding between participants and locals.
Camps International primarily caters to school groups, typically targeting students aged 14 and above. However, specific expeditions can be tailored for younger students or mixed-age groups, depending on the project and location. It is recommended that interested parties contact Camps International directly to discuss the suitability of expeditions for different age ranges.
The cost of an expedition with Camps International generally includes accommodation, meals, project materials, local transportation, and the support of experienced expedition leaders. Additionally, participants receive pre-departure training and resources to prepare them for their journey. However, flights to and from the expedition location, personal expenses, and travel insurance are typically not included.
Schools interested in organizing an expedition with Camps International can start by visiting the website to explore available programs and destinations. The team will provide guidance on how to plan the expedition, including fundraising ideas and pre-trip preparation to ensure a successful experience for all participants.
