The Butler County Detention Facility is a Division of the Kansas, Butler County Sheriff's Office. The Detention Facility is a modern, approximately 235 bed facility. Although primarily focused on serving the needs of the Butler County community, the facility houses inmates for several other County Agencies, the US Marshalls Service, Immigration Customs Enforcement, and state Department of Corrections. The Butler County Detention Facility is a direct supervision facility that employs approximately 55 dedicated professionals that perform duties in an operational and administrative capacity. Facility staff are dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment to the inmates housed within the facility, but more importantly to the citizens of Butler County by maintaining the security of the facility.
