Burnaby Insulation/SPI began operations in 1983 as a distribution business focused on the mechanical insulation industry. The company started as a privately owned Canadian business headquartered in Burnaby, B.C. Over the years we added branch distribution centres in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. Our Edmonton operation has fabrication capabilities to produce a complete range of preformed insulation fittings from all types of insulation products. As proud as we are of the products we represent, our true strength is the people that work for the company. In recent years we have managed to fill key positions with experienced, well-qualified individuals. On June 28, 2010 the company was purchased by Superior Plus Construction Products Distribution (CPD) a division of Superior Plus LP. Superior is a Canadian, publicly traded group of diversified businesses with three operating divisions and operations primarily in North America. CPD is one of those divisions comprised of Winroc, Specialty Products & Insulation (SPI) and Burnaby Insulation. The newly acquired business now operates as Burnaby Insulation/SPI.
