The holding company of the Group is White Bear Capital Ltd (“WBC”) which is largely owned by staff, with Nephila Holdings Limited, a leading investment manager specialising in insurance and reinsurance risk, holding a minority interest. Blenheim Underwriting Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of WBC. White Bear Corporate Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of WBC and employs all Group staff, including all Blenheim Syndicate 5886 underwriters.  In due course Blenheim Underwriting Ltd intends to seek the necessary Lloyd’s, regulatory and capital provider consents to become the Lloyd’s managing agency for Syndicate 5886.  Blenheim Syndicate 5886 commenced trading in 2017 as a new independent Lloyd’s syndicate, initially writing Property Treaty, Direct Property and Contingency business with an underwriting capacity of about US$200 million. For 2020 capacity has increased to some US$317.5 million, writing Property Treaty, Direct Property, Specialty Reinsurance, Accident and Health and Contingency.
