Avinor Group has two primary business areas: operation of a nationwide network of airports and the National Air Navigation service for civilian and military aviation.This encompasses 45 airports in Norway, of which 12 are operated in cooperation with the Norwegian Armed Forces. Oslo Airport and Avinor Air Navigation Services are wholly-owned subsidiaries and have their own managing director. Avinor Air Navigation Services provides air traffic control services at airports, is responsible for air traffic control of Norwegian airspace and operates technical infrastructure for air navigation.Avinor is self-financed. Airport operations are managed as a single unit, in which financially profitable airports finance the financially unprofitable airports.The primary sources of income are fees collected from airline passengers, as well as commercial revenue from rental of space to tax-free shops, cafés and restaurants, and other services for passengers.Avinor also receives income from airport hotels and parking facilities.Avinor is headquartered in Oslo.
