Acuity Specialty Hospital of New Jersey (AHNJ), AcuityHealthcare's newest hospital, opened in November 2009. The 30-bed Long Term Acute Care hospital serves the southern New Jersey region, providing inpatient acute care services to medically complex and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital stays. AHNJ is conveniently located in Atlantic City, New Jersey on the campus of AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. The hospital utilizes a patient-focused care model resulting in excellent clinical outcomes in areas such as ventilator weaning, wound care healing, and multi-organ failure recovery. The physician-driven interdisciplinary team approach provides comprehensive and personalized care to each patient, and believes that families are integral members of the care team and an essential component to the patients' recovery. AHNJ offers specialized programs in Pulmonary Disease, Wound Care Management, and Medically Complex Management to patients referred from hospitals located in New Jersey and throughout the Delaware Valley.
