Williams Graham Carman Solicitors was established in Cairns in 1972. The firm (now known as WGC) has been looking after clients in Cairns and the Far North region for over 40 years and has grown from employing five people to 30 at the present time. The current partnership consists of Eddy Lago (Managing Partner), Michael Huelin, Doug McKinstry, John Hayward and Graham Dutton. Three of the five partners have been with WGC for over twenty five years and the majority of the partners are long-term Cairns locals. Having completed their education in the region, they have developed a strong working knowledge of the Cairns region and businesses community and have had a hands on approach to running the business and dealing with clients. WGC is proud of the Cairns local region and believe in fostering community spirit and giving back to the community whenever we can. Various members of our team offer their legal services on a voluntary basis and serve on boards for local charities, community, arts, food and sporting groups. WGC’s provision of legal services has also extended to the former Cairns City Council and Douglas Shire Council in Coronial Inquests and disputed litigation concerning rates and charges before the Magistrates Court, District Court and Court of Appeal. Our client base includes major corporations and groups, private developers, large and small businesses, families and individuals.
