Specialist Lamps, Lighting Design, SAD Products Trilight is Scotland’s largest independent supplier of lamps and light fittings. The company was started in Aberdeen in 1989 and has steadily grown over the years to become a major supplier of commercial and domestic lighting throughout the country with an annual turnover in excess of £5m. The company’s major markets are the electrical wholesale trade, Local and Central Government plus top-end domestic designer lighting. Trilight sell products from all the major lighting manufacturers in addition to their own range of lamps sold under their Lightbox brand. Trilight is led by directors Gus Cruickshank, Graeme Hosie, Mark Calder and John Thompson. The ISO9000:2008 (QMS) & ISO 14001:2004 (EMS) accredited company currently employs 40 members of staff and has branches in Falkirk, Glasgow, Inverness, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Trilight are registered members of the Recolight recycling scheme and offer a free waste lamp collection service to companies in Scotland. Trilight was an early adopter of the recycling principle and recognised the environmental and business benefits associated with recycling waste lamps. In addition to being a major supplier of low energy bulbs, Trilight is also instrumental in marketing an innovative, energy saving dimmable ballast system for use in large buildings and street lighting. The company has established an outdoor lighting centre specifically to demonstrate the system to potential customers.
