Studio Exception

Studio Exception is a design collective that champions diversity in people to create better products and services for all. Our intent is to embed a new inclusive design standard into organisations, instilling a new set of principles to design with our differences in mind. We recognise that as people we are diverse, we live in different parts of the world, with different circumstances. We are old, young, live with disability, and come from different backgrounds - however, often products and services are designed as if we are all the same. Embracing these differences, we can begin to empathise and design to a higher degree for those excluded. In doing so, we uncover hidden universal truths that can truly benefit everyone. Design for one. Create for all. The Exception Method is the process of identifying, empathising, and designing for one exceptional human, and transforming that experience into universal designs that benefit all.
