Sri Lanka Technological Campus

Sri Lanka Telecom PLC (SLT), a socially responsible corporate entity, together with its fully-owned subsidiary, SLT Campus (Pvt) Ltd (SLTC), has ventured in to the field of higher education. This diversification strategy, which aims to serve the local and international student communities, has been encouraged by the recent endeavours of the Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) to make the country a Knowledge based economy. SLTC embarks to fulfill the National need of expanding the provision of higher education in Sri Lanka by conducting quality undergraduate and post graduate degree programmes including programmes of globally reputed and high ranked universities. SLTC as a new initiative helps expand the much needed University-Industry collaboration. The investment from SLT is not solely monetary but the organization has also allocated its infrastructure to realize the full potential of this endeavor. As such, SLT has allocated its presently unutilized Satellite Earth Station premises in Padukka, Sri Lanka which consists of a state-of-the-art auditorium and facilities which can presently accommodate 300 students in a comfortable environment located on a sprawling 35 acre property. In addition to the fully fledged campus facilities at Padukka which will conduct academic studies and have facilities for industrial research. SLTC will have a city office at the TRACE Expert City (Formally Tripoli Market), Maradana; in order to conduct professional courses, certifications and training and administrative operations such as student registrations for the campus. Whilst developing the strength of the institute in Sri Lanka, SLTC is keenly focused on partnering and collaborating with world’s best universities for multidimensional partnerships which involve research and industry engagements as well as teaching and learning outcomes.
