SolarShare

With the growing climate crisis, steeper energy costs, and the need for Ireland to achieve targeted reductions in CO2 emissions, SolarShare makes it possible for homeowners to switch to cleaner, renewable energy by plugging into solar power. SolarShare enables Irish communities to generate and harness their own electricity supply from sunlight. With our expertly installed solar equipment, and generous government rebates, going solar has never been easier. SolarShare’s community-centric approach makes sense for consumers and the environment. We make it possible for connected households in a given area to own, share, and benefit financially from the energy they generate. If they generate a surplus, they can store it for a rainy day or sell it back to the grid. Known as a Virtual Power Plant, a community of homeowners can join together and collectively share in the ownership of a clean energy producing resource. We’re building a movement of people who want to start generating their own clean energy today and see the long term value in building Ireland’s first, community-owned power plant.
