About Sigma Chi Fraternity

Sigma Chi (Σχ) was founded on June 28, 1855, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. It was created by seven men between the ages of 14 to 25 as a literary society. The Fraternity's primary purpose, they believed, was to appreciate, develop and promote the core values of Friendship, Justice and Learning.

Today, our mission is to develop values-based leaders committed to the betterment of character, campus and community. Sigma Chi's vision is to become the preeminent collegiate leadership development organization — aligned, focused and living our core values.
