About Secure Coding Institute
Secure software development is a growing area of focus in both the application development and information security fields. Moving beyond the infrastructure focus of traditional information security practices, secure software develop requires developing software systems that are free from known classes of vulnerabilities and resistant to attack. The Secure Coding Institute was founded by the inventor of Secure Coding at the CERT Division of Carnegie Mellon Universities’ Software Engineering Institute to address growing application security concerns. The Secure Coding Institute develops secure software, helps organizations assess and mitigate risk with existing software, and provides training on best practices in software security and secure coding.
