About Saudi Space Commission

Background

The Saudi Space Commission is a Saudi Agency established on December 27th, 2018 by the Royal Decree number 147/A. The agency is chaired by HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, who flew aboard the U.S. Space Shuttle Discovery STS-51-G in 1985 as the first Muslim Arab astronaut.

نبذة عن الهيئة

تأسست الهيئة السعودية للفضاء في 27 ديسمبر 2018 بموجب المرسوم الملكي رقم 147 / أ. يرأس مجلس إدارتها صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سلطان بن سلمان بن عبد العزيز آل سعود ، الذي ذهب على متن مكوك الفضاء الأمريكي ديسكفري STS-51-G في عام 1985 كأول رائد فضاء عربي مسلم.

To lead the space sector to realize the Saudi Vision 2030 by developing and organizing the sector and providing enablers to realize ground-breaking achievements.
